Against the notion of evil

"Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith, or love that exist just as does light and heat. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light." ~ Albert Einstein

Argument 1: How can God be Almighty, omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient and still be absent so as to give space to evil?

Bhagavad Gita answers:

Chapter 4 Verse 11

ye yathā māḿ prapadyante, tāḿs tathaiva bhajāmy aham, mama vartmānuvartante, manuṣyāḥ pārtha sarvaśaḥ

As all surrender unto Me, I reward them accordingly. Everyone follows My path in all respects, O son of Pṛthā.

So even a man following evil path is following the path of Brahman, as everything is in Brahman and nothing is beyond It. This includes evil too.

Chapter 7 Verse 14 defines everything made of 3 gunas satwa, rajas, tamas and evil is more of tamas and less of satwa. But even this tamas is in Brahman.
daivī hy eṣā guṇa-mayī, mama māyā duratyayā, mām eva ye prapadyante, māyām etāḿ taranti te
This divine energy of Mine, consisting of the three modes of material nature, is difficult to overcome. But those who have surrendered unto Me can easily cross beyond it.

This separation of evil from Semitic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) have given rise to fictitious concept of Satan or Devil and made the world divisive. They developed the idea of sin and forgiveness to have control over religion.

On the contrary Sanatan Dharma, spreads a unified concept of Brahman which is all inclusive. We also have the concept of virtue and vice but based on Karma theory. Also the bliss of Brahman is ever-flowing without a break and anyone can receive it, anyone. This frees us from the clutches of god-men and so-called religious representatives, gurus, rabbis, pastors, priests and mullahs.
