aye zindegi

Hasi mein uraa duh tujhe, aye zindegi
Kya hai tu aye zindegi?
Waqt ki daud mein, ek chhoti si kadi?
Ek pal hai, phir na jaane kya hashar ho teri!
Khushi se bitaa woh lamhein
Jo hai teri mutthi mein
Haque hai tera, ussi pal pe khaas
Jo hai tere naam, jo hai tere paas

Kayenat aur waqt ki chalti hai jo rubaru
Aye zindegi, uss mein ek pankhuri hai tu
Phailaade teri khushbu
Chhor jaa, bas ek haseen guftagu
Tujhe yaad kare, toh aankhein hass de
Aur chhaa jaye aman, dil bhar ke
Khush rahe, abaad rahe tu, aye zindegi
Yehi ek duya hai tere liye, tere iss bande ki

From Travel Diary: Tamil Nadu

TN = Tamil Nadu not Tennessee US; Travel Date: February 2011, delay in blogging due to laziness

I purposely opted for train journey despite my friends telling me to go via flight. But the tour was meant to get a glimpse of Southern India.

The journey rushing from North TN to South TN. The first few days were blissful in the shelter of Ramanashram at Thiruvannamalai and Aurobindo Ashram at Pondicherry. I took a small journey to Mother's creativity at Auroville, indeed to be called a Tapovan. But today all I could remember is the taste of the French cake at a restaurant on the Pondi beach. Please forgive me I am not a foodie but now I know why someone quoted the best way to a man's (read it as person's) heart is through his stomach.

Back to Chennai with Senthil and Hemlata we went for a whirlwind journey across the city -  Marina beach, Mylapore R K Mission, Vivekananda House, Shiva temples and shopping south silk at T-Nagar. V-House was the most interesting visit, a cold storage known as Ice House converted to the residence of Swami Vivekananda, later on becoming a vocational school for downtrodden and then re-vamping it to a memorial in the honor of V.

Then we raced to southern part of TN, surfing through the stunning temple architecture of Madurai, the gigantic waves of Kanyakumari and glorious Tanjavur palatial art. Facing the ocean at Kanyakumari I felt the first time the hugeness and power in a ocean. I have seen the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea many times, but the Indian Ocean was a different class altogether, it was clearly indicating it is the king of other water-bodies. Tanjavur or Tanjore was a revelation, it really deserves the fame it has, the red stone architecture is simply a marvel. The huge Nandi cow had a mythological bearing that it grows every day. The temples of Murugan were the most exciting as Karthikeya the warlord has always been my hero.

The journey would not have been complete without my visit to Tambaram for Naadi astrology. They succeeded in finding my aulayi or the ancient papyrus written for me. I do not know how authentic it was but it instigated so much interest for Naadi in me that I maanged to find out another Naadi astrologer back in my home town as well and visited him there.

TN was a tour mixed with spirituality, hectic travel to places with natural beauties and marvels of architecture, history and astrology. Above all was my dear friend Senthil and his sister Hemlata. It was a sheer pleasure indeed.

Tale of Time

Time never comes on its own
It needs to be brought upon.
Time tells its story
Only when it is written by someone.
Time brings grey clouds
As the results of our actions
But we can also draw the silver lines
And make the bad gone
Blind hopes only lead to blind lanes
And not a path to move along.
Time works the best
When planned and worked on

To harness creativity one doesn't need any philosophy, one just needs to look at the small moments of life
When one really wants to keep something he somehow always finds place for it.

We are lucky when we have problems and crisis situations in life.
Only then we come to know how strong we are.

There is one thing which everybody has in equal amount. It cannot be transferred nor can be re-used.
What we do with it is our choice. What it does with us is the outcome of our action.
This one thing is TIME

Maa

The core of sound as the Hindus say is OM when given a base becomes OM(AU) i.e. when implemented for creation. When extended the same sound is OM(AA), the first word that comes out of every human baby, the seed of creation.

Let us all cry out the sacred word Maa . . . The best music ever composed in the cosmos and the best lyric ever thought of . . .

Chhoto Jiggasha

Since I first visited them there has been a fight between the two of them.
One says I am more alive as I can roar.
The other says I am more alive thru my silence where I allow others to contemplate and express and life flows thru me.
Till date when I visit any of them I find it more alive and when I come back I become a naive thinking which has more life !
One is sea, the other is mountain.
Can you answer?
