An Unusual Travel Story

There I was in Asansol with my friend who was there for some personal work. Later in the day we had plans to visit an astrologer. So I was there with few extra hours in hand and was left all by myself to roam around. So I planned to visit Mython dam. My friend got me a three-wheeler for Rs. 400/- to and fro Mython dam which was about 25km from Asansol. The road seemed good and the driver was friendly.

As we drove about 20km the vehicle broke down while driving through the forests of Barakar. The driver did his best do sort out the matter but nothing could be done. He called his friend for help who said he will be there in about an hour's time. So I thought of taking lift but the driver said it is a strict NO as the place is not safe enough. So we kept waiting. The driver tried to seek help from other passenger vehicles. Among them was a vehicle wherein the passenger was a mechanic...........what a luck! He helped fix the vehicle. It was nothing but the dirt in the fuel which the driver has filled in right before starting the journey. Then we were on our way to Mython dam. Did photography and came back to Asansol. The weather became really good form the scorching heat in the morning it became cloudy as I started my journey for Durgapur.

Durgapur was another experience,  Kaalbaishakhi or Norwestors as we call it was in full mood. As the dust storm attacking us from all sides the fiery raindrops also made their entry. I was ready to catch the bus right at that moment and enjoy viewing the storm from inside the bus on way back to Kolkata.
