The Wonder Called Woman

God took a bone from Adam's rib, and thus created woman
'Bone of his bones, flesh of his flesh', was the wondrous cosmic creation.

The story of our origin lies mellowed by the specie called man
Amazed when we look around, everywhere it is us and no one.
From kitchen to Cosmos, point a post, we have not won
From womb to grand-ma it is us, who croon the happiest songs!

As daughter, we bring to the father, loveliest affection
While a wife anoints her consort with blissful devotion
The mother bestows her child, with utmost adulation
While the daughter-in-law poses as the family's chaperon.

The lady who embraces any profession
Her home front knows no relaxation
What she does with  her timely disposition
It is beyond a man's finest imagination!

Do we wonder, why, comics don't have a super-woman?
Do we ever wonder, why, Maa Durgaa has ten arms?
For a man, it is not amply possible to envision
What is the supreme artistry of God, the wonder called Woman.

Truth of Absolute

The river of bliss flows without a break

It is us who fail to take the holy dip in

The river is all around us as the Lord spake

It is us who fail to hold it in our heart within

It is a promise even before space and time

The promise of existence, consciousness and bliss

Our ego binds us to this world worth a dime

And we let go of our heritage of eternal peace

I pray to the unknown to let me ascend my throne
In this world I live with thoughts of pollute
I pray to make my true-self known
Enlighten me with truth of the absolute
